One recent wedding we coordinated, I tallied up the dollar amount we saved the couple against what they would have paid had they planned it themselves and came up with close to $7,000. Our fee was less than half that. Plus, they had the peace of mind of having a coordinator, which they told us was "priceless". So yes, while there is an upfront cost for a good wedding planner, if you choose well, you will get that entire fee back plus more in savings and avoided stress. Great article!
