Having a list of specifically what needs to be accomplished, and when it needs to be a ccomplished, will ensure that the big day is planned to a “T.”
Number One: Theme Before The Rest
The first thing a wedding planner will need to check off on their checklist (besides determining a wedding budget) will be the theme. Some weddings have a theme (such as beach, country, or rock ‘n’ roll) and other weddings are themeless. Making this decisision will play a role in the remaining decisions, so it is likely the first thing that a wedding planner will ask about. Once it is determined whether or not the wedding will have a theme, the rest of the decisions are ready to be made.
Number Two: When And Where
Setting a date is the next step a wedding planner will need to check off on a checklist. Although invitations are not typically sent out until 6 weeks before the date, it is beneficial for all involved if a date is set well before this. Also, a venue will need to be selected. The wedding planner might offer several options, and they may correspond with the wedding’s theme if it has one. A location will need to be selected for both the wedding itself as well as the reception.
Number Three: Food, Flowers, Décor, and More!
As the day of the wedding grows nearer and nearer, the details that a wedding planner checks on his or her checklist grow smaller and smaller. The food for the reception is an important detail that is arranged typically about 3-4 months before the wedding. More popular caterers will likely have to be contacted even earlier. A cake is typically ordered around this time as well.
